What we found

REJECTED — Location data sent to servers in China; non-adequate country under GDPR Art. 44.

This finding is based on a 3-pass forensic network audit conducted in an isolated network environment in Lisbon, Portugal. The methodology captures every DNS query, monitors total traffic during active and idle states, and classifies each contacted domain across 6 dimensions (GDPR, surveillance, tracking, minimization, transparency, traffic-behaviour).

Auto-rejection trigger: per Ainode's auto-rejection rules, devices transmitting voice / location / biometric data to non-adequate countries (no GDPR adequacy decision) are rejected regardless of numeric score. This is GDPR Article 44 enforcement applied at the retail-curation layer.

Disposition

NOT sold by Ainode. Auto-rejected under GDPR Article 44 (transmits personal data to a country without an adequacy decision). Documented publicly so consumers know which devices to avoid.

If you've purchased this device elsewhere, our recommendation: factory-reset, don't pair, or stop using it. Mitigation depends on the specific data being exfiltrated.
